Patrol

The Boulder City Police Department has a capable staff of Patrol Officers ready and able to respond to emergencies and protect Boulder City citizens. Besides the regular, Full-Time Patrol Officers, there are several specialized patrols that also assist citizens in helping to keep Boulder City a safe community.

Territory

Patrol officers cover a large territory, which consists of 210 square miles. This includes:

  • U.S. Highway 93 Northbound (just before Railroad Pass Casino)
  • U.S. Highway 93 Southbound to Lakeshore Drive (towards Hoover Dam)
  • U.S. Highway 95 Southbound to mile marker 34 (towards Searchlight)

The patrol area is larger than the City of Las Vegas.

Patrol Shifts

Patrol is broken into 4 shifts, each of which is commanded by a Patrol Sergeant. Those shifts are:
