The Division of Communications is operated through the City Manager’s Office. The division plans, manages and oversees the activities and operations of City communications. Duties include writing and/or issuing news releases on behalf of the City’s nine department, operations of Boulder City Television (BCTV), recording and broadcast of City meetings, website updates and other special events. The division is also responsible for replying to local media inquiries and acts as a liaison to Community residents regarding a variety of issues. The division is currently led by Communications Manager Lisa LaPlante, who can be reached via email or at 702.293.9302.
BCTV is the government access channel operated by the City. It broadcasts on COX cable channel 2 in Boulder City BCTV’s Digital Technician Holly Webb records all City Council, Commission and Committee meetings and workshops, as well as City Council messaging regarding various important topics within the Community.
